Review: NYX eyeshadow Primer

Usually, when we say eyeshadow primer, the first thing that comes to mind is Urban Decay's  Primer Potion. But for those who are just starting with make up, and maybe looking for a good alternative, the answer is NYX's eyeshadow primer. It should make your eyeshadows last longer without creasing.

NYX says:

To get the maximum brilliant color of eyeshadow on your eye, an eye primer is a must. Apply eyeshadow base to eyelids, then apply (NYX's high-pigmented) eyeshadow and see the colors pop with vibrant and sparkling luster. Eyeshadow base grabs and firmly holds finely milled powder so the color on the pot is what ends up on your eye-without a pinch lost.

I say:

I have all 3 primers and I've been using it for some time now. I can say it is ok for an eyeshadow primer. Its not as good the UDPP or TFSI. It creased on mine after a few hours. I also did not notice the different effects of each primer (different color for diff purpose, you can see the swatches here). But for the fraction of the price, it is a good alternative to expensive ones. The packaging is also made of clear plastic container with white receptacle cap. And though it is made of light plastic, I actually like it because you can use up even the last bit without struggling to cut the container in half (like UDPP and TFSI). This will probably work for girls who not have really oily lids like mine, and will probably be good for everyday use. But if your planning to wear your makeup the whole day, UDPP or TFSI may work better.

My Rating:

Price: 10/10
Packaging: 10/10
Performance: 7/10
Repurchase: Maybe
