help please

Hello ladies!

In a few days from now, my sissy and I are going to Singapore to visit our brother who is based there. This  trip to Singapore will be my 5th. I've done almost all of the tourist-y things to do there, apart from visiting Universal Studios which just opened this year. I read from Universal Studios' web that they have a Victoria's Secret counter. Yay! I'm not familiar with VS cosmetic line but would like to try them.

Aside from that, Sephora has just opened in Singapore. I know that it is the makeup mecca for beauty junkies. Soap & Glory has also arrived in Sephora.

Apart from UD Naked palette, i dont know what else to get..

And this is where I will be needing your help..Do you have any recommendations on what to get at Sephora, Soap & Glory and Victoria's Secret? I want to make the most out of this trip, meaning get all the makeup, skincare, haircare etc. specially from brands that aren't sold in my country (Philippines)

so, please, please let me know your recommendations. I would really really appreciate it..

big big thanks,

I LVoe Bags: Kate Spade

I've been in love with makeup for some time now. But prior to this, I was first in love with BAGS!  No brand in particular. On my 2nd year of working, I took a splurge and got this Kate Spade bag. I was in love it! Cant remember the model though :D

look at the bag interior...
polka dot lining & zip pocket

I consider it my first designer bag, and holds a special place in my heart cabinet ☺

My love for bags grew stronger when I came across Bagaholicboy's blog. He posts upcoming collections of renown designers, where to buy them and some insights about specific bags. Having designer bags became my quest and Louis Vuitton specifically catched my attention. Hence, I created this blog in 2008, but I've only been an active blogger last June of this year.

This was my first expensive purchase. Whats yours? I want to know.. ☺

I've been a bad bad girl

I know I said I wont be buying anything until October. But gosh, It's so hard! After my makeup class yesterday, I cant stop myself from checking out some of the shops and ended up getting a few items. I've been a bad girl, i know...

I got:

Boyfriend fit shirt from GAP
Red pumps from Pedro (i think its a Singaporean brand)
MUFE lip liner/concealer

This MAC lipstick was originally purchased by my friend. But when she tried it on again, she did not like how it looked on her lips like when she was in the MAC store. And when I saw it and tried, I instantly liked the color. So, i bought it from her.

MAC describes it as Grapefruit Pink.
MAC See Sheer Lustre
It looks orangey red to me, and blends well with my lip color. Well, it actually looks very natural on my lips. I love love this lipstick!

I am hoping that this will really be my last purchase for September, but MAC Fabulous Felines will be released this coming September 25th. What to do? Will that be an exception since its a limited collection?

Review: NYX eyeshadow Primer

Usually, when we say eyeshadow primer, the first thing that comes to mind is Urban Decay's  Primer Potion. But for those who are just starting with make up, and maybe looking for a good alternative, the answer is NYX's eyeshadow primer. It should make your eyeshadows last longer without creasing.

NYX says:

To get the maximum brilliant color of eyeshadow on your eye, an eye primer is a must. Apply eyeshadow base to eyelids, then apply (NYX's high-pigmented) eyeshadow and see the colors pop with vibrant and sparkling luster. Eyeshadow base grabs and firmly holds finely milled powder so the color on the pot is what ends up on your eye-without a pinch lost.

I say:

I have all 3 primers and I've been using it for some time now. I can say it is ok for an eyeshadow primer. Its not as good the UDPP or TFSI. It creased on mine after a few hours. I also did not notice the different effects of each primer (different color for diff purpose, you can see the swatches here). But for the fraction of the price, it is a good alternative to expensive ones. The packaging is also made of clear plastic container with white receptacle cap. And though it is made of light plastic, I actually like it because you can use up even the last bit without struggling to cut the container in half (like UDPP and TFSI). This will probably work for girls who not have really oily lids like mine, and will probably be good for everyday use. But if your planning to wear your makeup the whole day, UDPP or TFSI may work better.

My Rating:

Price: 10/10
Packaging: 10/10
Performance: 7/10
Repurchase: Maybe

What are your experiences with NYX shadow base? Do share! :)

Smashbox Superstars

Hello lovelies! To all Muslims, Eid Mubarak! ☺

This has been a long series of posts.. The box that I waited for so long is truly worth the wait.. There are still many products that I need to swatch, including this Try Me Kit Vol 2: Smashbox Superstars. I'm only posting it now but I've been using some of the products for some time now specially the Bionic mascara (which was included in my August Faves) and O-glow that came with it.

I got this set from Sephora Storefront at Amazon.

The kit includes:

Bionic Mascara in Jet Black travel size
Mini Reflection high shine lip gloss
O-Glow cheek color travel size
Mini Photo finish foundation primer
Mini fusion soft lights in Baked Starburst
Pro artist tips & tricks booklet (not pictured)

I slightly bent the mascara wand, I always do this, it makes application easier.

I got it for only $29, but the retail value is $79 (definitely a good price!). I think getting the travel size is better specially if you haven't tried the products yet. But I will definitely buy the full size of O-glow and Bionic Mascara once I ran out.

This kit is definitely worth every penny.

I have another kit from Smashbox which I will be posting soon, so definitely watch out for it.

Have you tried this set? What are your fave smashbox products?

✳ sparkles everywhere ✳

Hello girlies!

Apart from single eyeshadows from NYX, I also got the Glitter Cream Palettes. These also came from the long awaited box from the US.

NYX Glitter Cream Palette

#12 One Night In Luxy
#11 Ocean Breeze
According to NYX website, it can be applied to eyes, lips and face or anywhere you want a sparkling effect

Im not really sure if its cream though, it feels like its compressed glitters and just a little bit damp so it sticks on where you want to use it.

I particularly like Ocean Breeze because of the nice colors. Although I'm not sure when I will use it. :D

Have you tried this?
