Sunday shopping

The weather yesterday was great. And what better way to spend the afternoon than to go shopping.

Some things I purchased..

Topshop animal print top; Zara navy top
Fitflops with gold sequins
Palladio Rice powder in Nude
GAP Tees

After some serious walking, we had dinner at Agave (Mexican Resto) and FRO-YO (frozen Yogurt) at Hobbes and Landes for dessert.

'twas truly a great Sunday!

AffordaFalsies :)

Those falsies are incredibly cheap! P200 for a dozen which makes it around P17/pair.

Thank you Bambi for sharing Mang Ed's number.!

I think these are great for one-two time use, specially if you're a makeup artist doing makeup for shoots. Instead of buying falsies sold at department stores, this will surely be a great alternative. They're made of natural hair and all are hand made by Mang Ed' wife.

I cannot remember how many I got, but I remember paying around P4,000. Some are for friends but mostly are for me and my sister :)

If you wanna add ooomph to those smokey eyes!

while these, you can use for avant-garde looks :)

Nice eh? :)

My Tartan Tale & some NYX

Last Saturday, the Tartan Tale Collection was released. I immediately phoned my new found friend (MUA Jarwin) and asked him if he could reserve some kits for me, and he said yes! Sunday came and after watching Manny Pacquiao's fight, I went straight to MAC and checked out the whole collection. I originally reserved the pink and neutral sassy lipgloss sets and the smokey pigment set. But after swatching the lipglosses, I did not find anything special with the colors, I ended up getting the Smokey Pigment set and another set as a xmas gift to my sister. :)

I've also been wanting a dark lipstick (more of a plum, purplish red or deep dark red) for some time now so I also checked out the shop that sells goodies from the US and picked up 3 lipsticks from NYX. I thought its better to spend on NYX rather than getting a MAC for a shade that I wont be using much.

Got the lipstick for P200 each, so P600 for the 3. A MAC lipstick costs P950.

The lighting at the shop was very poor, so i thought the colors are perfect. But when I tried it on at home, those were not the shades that I was looking for :( Maybe I should've just bought a MAC one. Well, its not NYX's fault, the lighting as I said was just terrible.

I am still in search of the perfect plum or purplish red lipstick. If you have suggestions, please share! :)

Brush Collection

A couple of months ago, I started buying makeups. Along with these, I also started collecting brushes.. I own a few brushes before, they are inexpensive ones. They do the job alright. But one thing I learned is no matter how expensive the makeup/cosmetics you are using, it wont look and last as good as it should without the help of a great brush . The brush perfects the outcome. Do you agree with me on this?

In my quest for the perfect brushes, I bought and tried out several brands. I never realized it was already this much..

This was my first set of brushes from Artnet. I got these at SASA on my trip to Hong Kong and paid HKD400.

The eye brushes were not soft, it used to hurt my lids when applying eyeshadow. But the face brushes work fine. But for the price I paid for it, I can say the brushes were OK. It also came with a brush belt that is good for storing the brushes.

This is my second set of brushes from Bobbi Brown. When I decided to enroll at a makeup school, i know that I must have good set of brushes so I took a splurge and got these..

Bobbi Brown brushes are of great quality. The brush hairs are soft and I specifically liked the wooden handles that has label on it. Very helpful for beginners like me. The only downside is the steep price. The few short handle ones I got from their website and the remaining I got at my local BB counter. I spent around P30,000 (approx US$500) and its not even the complete set! I also have the travel size brushes (not pictured :D)

Here are my MAC brushes..

Dashe Brushes
These are locally made. And the price of the whole set is just a price of a MAC face brush. I paid P2,000 (approx US$40) for this 17pc set with a brush roll.

My brush set from E.L.F. I got the 11pc brush set for only $15, it was originally priced at $30 but when I ordered ELF was having a promotion so I saved 50%. The other 3 were bought at my local department store.

And my latest brush set purchase from Sigma. I got them last month, and Im very happy with the performance. I paid $187 for the brush set  with roll and additional 3 more.

 Brushes from Coastal Scents

Assorted brushes from MUFE, Laura Mercier, Shu Uemura & Sheer Cover

Honestly, you dont need all these brushes. A few brushes of great quality will suffice. A great set at a very affordable price is Sigma. I'm loving everything that was included in the set specially the pencil and blending brushes.

My Birthday celeb

My birthday was celebrated simply but very special, still. Hubby and I dined at Gaudi in Serendra (a Spanish Resto) and I must say they serve the best Lamb Stew I've tried. We also ordered Octopus with paprika for starters which was also great.

I didn't manage to get many photos but here are some..

I looked so pale in this photo, maybe it was because of the foundation combined with camera flash. But in person, my foundation perfectly matched my skintone.

Would you like to know What I used?

Revlon Photoready 004
MUFE Loose powder
MAC e/s Brulee, Cork & Espresso
NYX liner
MUFE Moulin Rouge lipstick
Dior Show Mascara

I cannot ask for any more presents, a date with hubby was simply the best!

Mission: It's Possible! (Project Pan Post #1)

Yes! I am on a serious mission now to finish up some (if not all) of the products I've been buying. I was inspired by many beauty bloggers to pursue this mission. This is my first one, and there will be more coming in the future..

So, here are some of the products I used the past months/weeks. And now they're empty! Yay for that! Its POSSIBLE indeed!

Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff Shampoo- used to be the only shampoo I use that will not give me dandruff. But on my second bottle, it started to cause me dandruff. Thank god for Kerastase Biotic, dandruff is gone!

Human Heat Nature Organic Conditioner (Peppermint & Mango Butter)- Its organic, doesn't cause dandruff, affordable and smells great. What else can I ask for? :)

Creamsilk Dandruff free Conditioner- another conditioner I love.

Nivea Visage Cleansing Facial Wipes- wipes I use at night before I wash my face. It does the job, but can sometimes cause a stinging sensation.

I seem to have very sensitive scalp. I cant find the right shampoo and conditioner that will not cause flaking. I've tried using several brands from Loreal, Pantene, Toni & Guy, Garnier and even Kerastase but they all failed me.

Are there products you would like to recommend? Shampoo & Conditioner that doesn't cause dandruff would be great.

Are you also on a mission? :)

bye for now..
