June Empties.

This month, I think I did well. I finished seven products! Seven may not be many for others, but for me, it's an accomplishment. As I'm the type of person who tends to buy stuff but doesn't actually use.

Kerastase Oleo Relax hair mask - is a favorite. Though I find it to be pricey, I still buy it when I have extra cash to spare. Works and smells amazing. Repurchase? Yes

YSL Babydoll EDT- this was actually my sister's, but she gave it to me and I instantly loved the scent. Although I loved the scent, I would to try other perfumes. Repurchase? No

Dove Damage Theraphy Intense Repair -its my second tube, which means I also repurchased. I use this alternately with Kerastase. Makes my hair really soft. Repurchase? Yes

Bliss Fat Girl Sleep - I don't consider myself fat, but there are parts in my body that I consider "trouble spots". It came in a box with two other products to combat cellulite. The scent of the cream is alright, but I didn't notice any difference in my thighs (where I usually slather the cream). Repurchase? No.

As for makeup products, I finished three.

Clinique Quick Corrector - This used to be my favorite corrector until I got Bobbi Brown. What I like most about this product is the doe-foot applicator. Repurchase? No, would like to try other brands.

Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Charcoal - Again, used to be another favorite when I would only wear eyeliner, curl my lashes and that's it. But now that I have more makeup, I have other liners that I frequently use like my L'oreal Lineur Intense. Repurchase? Yes.

Carmex Moisture Plus (clear) - Carmex in general is a favorite lipbalm brand. I try almost all their lipbalm selection. Repurchase? Yes, but not until I finish my 5 back ups :D

Considering the makeup that I own, I think I didn't do well. But still, three is something.

My goal is to finish more makeups in the coming months.

What are your June empties? What products would you repurchase again?

Just Bitten.

My sweet hubby got me these lovely Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stains last week. I asked him to get me a peach and pink shade but did not tell which specific shades. I was surprised by his choice. He got me the perfect shade which I would've chosen myself. Good job, hubby!  :)

The shades my hubby picked were 015 Cherish Devotion & 035 Charm.

I love the texture of these balm stains! I'm sure another order with drugstore.com will be placed shortly :)

What are your avorite balm stain shades?

Hey, Sailor!

At last, MAC Hey, Sailor! was released yesterday afternoon in Rockwell mall. I was lucky to be one of the few makeupholics who were there early. I don't need any more makeups, but I certainly could not pass up this collection. I LOVE the packaging!

Ok, onto what I've got.
Orange Tempera lipglass; Launch Away! & Fleet Fast Blush; Jaunty, Barefoot & Crystal Avalanche e/s
While these two items aren't part of the collection, I decided to get them as well since they have been on my wish list for months now. I have seen TiffanyD use Nymphette several times and it looked absolutely pretty on her.
MAC 234 brush; Nymphette lipglass

As you can see on the photo above, the 234 brush is a Split Fibre blending brush from the MAC Semi-Precious Collection. It is a combination of natural and synthetic hair. I will be putting this brush to the test, and compare if this or the 217 is better.

So, that's my haul! I will be posting swatches soon (if you like). :)

On a non-makeup related topic, hubby arrived this morning and he brought with him the bag (yes! another bag) I ordered from Shopbop, which I'm really ecstatic about.

Sale Shopping.

Dolman top & dress from Uniqlo
top & cardi from Mango
bra tops from Uniqlo
white jeans from Mango
My will power instantly disappears as soon as I see the red tags on. How can you resist marked down items? The best time to shop is during the sale season. But one thing I dislike about Sale Shopping is the number of shoppers queueing in fitting rooms. So best thing to do is go to the malls early to avoid traffic and the crowd. But be quick though, not all sizes are available for every style.

I got a few pieces from Mango and UniQlo, which opened its first store in Mall of Asia last June 15. All items in UniQlo are being offered at a low price as their opening treat to shoppers.

What's your take of sale shopping?

My little drugstore haul.

I recently discovered 2sites 1 bag, Beauty & Drugstore, that accepts local or Philippine issued credit cards. For those living in the US, Im sure you all know how it works. The 2sites carry both branded and drugstore finds. I decided to try it and picked up some cosmetics which aren't released here yet. Of course, I had the items delivered to my hubby's hotel in LA.

I've meaning to try the color tattoo from Maybelline after reading that its similar to MAC paintpots. I picked up Bad to the Bronze, Pomegranate Punk and Tough as Taupe. I also picked up the ELF lash and brow mascara and also Tarte Lipsurgence, that i think is similar to the recently released Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain.

I loved the texture of the color tattoos and I'm planning to buy more.

What colors should i try next?

Hello, Smashbox Halo.

I've always wanted to try this perfecting powder from Smashbox. I have read many good reviews about it so I thought why not give it try.

The shade I chose was Light. It comes with a small kabuki brush. But personally, I wont be using the small brush to apply it.

Has anyone tried the perfecting powder from Smashbox, what are your thoughts?

Makeup storage & collection

If you are like me, you like peeking into your girl friend's/bloggers room and look at how she organizes her makeups and also look at her collection.

Today, I'm going to show you my makeup collection and storage. After only a year of being active in blogger, I have accumulated way more than I need, although my collection isn't as extensive as other bloggers' collection.

This is going to be picture heavy, so pardon the lengthy post.

Without further ado, here's the extra bedroom that was converted into a girly room.
My dresser with matching mirror. Excuse the reflection on the mirror. Those are my bags that are laid on the bed. Hopefully when we have our 3rd floor renovated, i will have more space in the closet to store my bags.

On the right side of the desk are makeup brushes, magnified mirror and tissue holder.

The mid part contains my lipglosses, mascaras, jumbo pencils and eyeliners.

then, on the left side are palettes from UD & Tarte. makeup removers, moisturiser and mists from MAC.

The small drawer on the left holds my MAC eyeshadow palettes, powders, sponges I use often and kabuki brushes

The mid drawer houses my lipsticks, gel liners, powders, BB creams, concealers, lipliners, makeup finishing sprays and tools like curler and twezeers.

I have a multi-tiered plastic drawer below the desk.
1st row contains eyeshadows palettes from UD, MAC, wet n Wild, Rimmel, and other brands.
2nd row contains more palettes from UD, benefit, single eyeshadows pans and pigments.
3rd row contains different brands of blushers, MSFs, highlighters, and liquid foundations.
4th row contains setting powders, bronzers, and bases (paintpots, face & eyeshadow primers).
on the left shelf, I have more eyeshadow palettes, nailpolishes and false lashes (plastic bag).
Then, on the right shelf are more makeup brushes from MAC, Sigma, Bobbi Brown and other brands, moisturisers and brush cleaners.

The white cabinet is actually a shoe cabinet but on top of it i put random bits, another multi-tiered plastic drawer and mesh drawer from Ikea.

On top of the shoe cabinet, i placed my Front cover palettes, more makeup brushes from Sigma, Bobbi Brown and Dashe (local brand), perfumes, and random books.

Moving on, the multi-tiered plastic drawer holds more makeup. Another UD NYC palette and eye products.

Next row contains applicators and false lashes.

3rd row is probably the drawer that holds the most number of unopened products. It contains lippies, balms, lipsticks and more eye product back ups.

Then the last row contains more eyeshadows palettes from coastal scents, F21, foundations and other stuff.

The mesh drawer aren't actually for makeups, this is where i put my most used hairstyling tools and some hair styling products. Then on the bottom drawer is where i keep skincare backups, and some random bits.

I hope I didn't bore you with this post. I know my storage isn't the most organized one but I have a very limited space on this extra bedroom, rearranging furnitures is very hard. But once we have our 3rd bedroom on the 3rd floor renovated, I plan to have a walk in wardrobe where I can find everything in one place.

I would love to see how you store your makeup collection, send me the link below.

A small haul

I had dinner by myself last night. It was a relaxing one, the food at Cafe Mary Grace was great specially the Mango Bene dessert. I was sooooo full. After dinner, I decided to walk around and check out some shops. I ended up in Pure Beauty, a shop that sells various makeup brands. They have Sephora, Tarte, UD, Beneye, Graftobian to name a few. They do not only sell makeups, they also sell haircare, makeup kits, and hair styling tools.

It was a makeup haven for me

I picked up a few products:

1. Aveeno Nourish + Style Curl Defining Spray Gel
2. Make Up Designory (MUD) e/s Wheat
3. Revlon Photoready Eye primer +Brightener

Makeup Designory e/s Wheat; Revlon Photoready Eye Primer + Brightener
Have you tried the e/s from MUD (Make Up Designory) and the Revlon Photoready eye primer?

Louis Vuitton Artsy MM Empreinte leather in Aube
I fell in love with the color. It's not my usual color, but who needs tons of bags in almost the same (color) family? Soft textured leather, and cute key rings= ❤

Current Skincare.

I've been blogging for many months now, but I haven't actually posted a skincare routine. So now, I'm doing one.

My skincare routine usually changes depending on the condition of my skin. After having the Obagi Blue Peel, I noticed that the products became more effective. The pimple scars are less visible now. There was also a time when I never had a "day off" with pimples. Every time a pimple is about to heal, another one surfaces. It's really annoying!

Okay, time to list my skincare products:

1. Obagi Nu Derm Gentle Cleanser
2. Dermalogica Multi Active Toner
3. Zo Skin Health Offects Te Pads Acne Pore Treatment
4. La Roche Posay Effaclar A.I (Targeted breakout corrector) - as needed
5. Vicy Bi-White Deep Cell Whitening Spot Intervention - as needed
6. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo
7. Zo Skin Health Oclipse Sunscreen
8. Bremenn Hylexin Serious Dark Circles
9. Bremenn Upper Eyelid Lifter

Those are the products I use on a day to day basis, morning and evening. I only use the Effaclar A.I and Vichy Bi-white on areas where its needed. And of course, the sunscreen which I only use in the morning.

What's your current skincare routine? Do you use less or more products than me?

xoxo
